The hidden aspect of Wudū

Hujjatul Islam Sayyidunā Imâm Muhammad al-Ghazâlī states in Ihyâ’ Ul-Ulūm that,

When you have finished Wudū and you are ready to pray your Salāh, consider that you have purified most parts of your body that can be seen to others, but [the most important aspect is] have you purified your heart which Allâh Almighty will see. You should have shame if you pray to Allâh Almighty and your heart is not clean. Your heart is purified by repenting and not committing bad actions and it is better to adopt good acts. The example of the one who cleans his outer self and doesn't pure his inner self is like the person who invited the King to his home; he decorates and cleans his garden but leaves the inside of his home dirty. This person is not entitled to being rewarded; he is only entitled to the King's anger.
